Its central location in Charlestown makes it easy for everyone to arrive without stress, and the team there are genuinely lovely to work alongside.
Caves Coastal Bar and Bungalows
Caves Coastal sits right at Caves Beach with the most stunning views of the coastline stretching out beyond — the natural light here is simply beautiful to work in, and the relaxed beachside setting puts every bride instantly at ease. There’s a magic to getting ready with the sound of the waves and that gorgeous coastal scenery right outside that you just can’t replicate anywhere else.

The Lake Macquarie Yacht Club has one of the most beautiful outlooks of any wedding venue in the region — those sweeping lake views make for the most stunning ceremony and reception backdrop. I travel to wherever my brides are getting ready nearby, then they arrive at the Yacht Club looking and feeling their absolute best, ready to make the most of that incredible setting.

Elopements and intimate weddings are some of my favourite days to be part of — and Lake Macquarie has a quietly stunning range of settings for them. A lakeside exchange at sunset, a small ceremony in the gardens of a boutique venue, an intimate dinner overlooking the water at Rafferty’s or Tinta — small weddings here never feel like they’re missing anything. There’s a stillness to a day that’s just about the two of you and the people who matter most, and I find that kind of morning genuinely moving to be part of.
My one-artist approach suits smaller weddings perfectly. There’s no crew arriving at your door, no chaos, no noise — just me, my kit, and a relaxed morning that’s entirely focused on you. I do have a minimum booking of three people for both hair and makeup, and the good news for Lake Macquarie brides is that there’s no travel fee for the region, which takes one thing off the list when you’re keeping things beautifully simple. The same skill, the same products, the same attention to detail — whether there are two people at your ceremony or two hundred.

Do you travel across all of Lake Macquarie?
Yes — I cover the full Lake Macquarie region including Charlestown, Warners Bay, Belmont, Swansea, Toronto, Wangi Wangi, Caves Beach, Morisset, Cameron Park and everywhere in between, all at no extra travel cost. I only ask that you cover any parking fees on the day.
I'm getting married at a Lake Macquarie venue — where will I get ready?
That's entirely up to you. Most of my Lake Macquarie brides get ready at their home, a nearby Airbnb, or their accommodation — I come to wherever you are. I don't assume venues have on-site getting-ready facilities, so we'll plan your morning around the space that works best for you and your bridal party.
Is airbrush makeup available for Lake Macquarie weddings?
Yes, and at no extra charge. I carry both traditional and airbrush application in my kit and we'll talk through which suits your skin type and the look you're after at your trial. Airbrush tends to photograph beautifully in outdoor lakeside settings where longevity really matters.
How early should I book for a Lake Macquarie wedding?
Spring and autumn Saturdays around Lake Macquarie fill quickly — I recommend enquiring at least 12 months ahead to secure your date. That said, I do occasionally have availability for closer dates, so it's always worth reaching out even if your wedding is sooner than that.
Can you accommodate a large bridal party?
Yes. For larger parties I bring in additional qualified stylists to make sure everyone is ready on time and without any rushing. I always remain the lead artist and personally take care of all bride services myself.
Do you offer hair only or makeup only bookings?
Absolutely — while many brides book both with me, I'm very happy to do one or the other. Just mention what you need when you enquire and I'll put together the right quote for you.
Do you look after the whole bridal party, not just the bride?
Yes — bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, flower girls, and guests are all welcome. Making every person in that room feel genuinely beautiful is one of the best parts of the morning. Pricing for the full bridal party is on my pricing page.
